Client Needs: UltraChoice Water is a start up company offering water filters for the shower and bath. The client, Mr. Dennis Mast, suffers from multiple sclerosis which he believes came from water contamination. Besides selling filters, the campaign expressed his personal mission to to educate the public about water contamination and provide clean water resources and solutions for safe drinking water. We recommended he add water test kits, (which he did) and we produced the following elements:
- The documentary, “H2O, What’s In Your Water?” with top water experts from the EPA, Harvard University, NRDC, U.S, Geological Survey
- The docu-mercial, “Making a Difference” with Dilva Henry
- A video news release produced and distributed to 800 local broadcast television stations; The website, www.purewaterplan.com; A 2 column feature newspaper story, ” What’s in Your Water?”, and distributed to 10,250 newspapers.
Results: So far, just after one month of the newspaper release, 88 papers placed the story.
The documentary built instant credibility for the client as the Executive Producer bringing together interviews from some of the world’s leading water experts. With further funding, the documentary is ready for pitching to television networks as is or as the first episode in an unscripted reality series on Discovery and on National Geographic and for sale internationally.
